A fellowship of believers who work together in knowing Jesus, and making Him known. It is our desire to be a church that is pleasing to God, and who is obedient to His commands. We desire to be a people unified by a compassionate heart toward all people. We believe that we have been put together to be a church "family" but that our family is not complete until we have reached everyone in our community for Christ.

Ministry opportunities abound at Charleston First Baptist Church. We are excited about helping people identify their unique abilities and invest them in God's service. With an emphasis on humility and servanthood, we aim to see each member involved in a ministry team as we fulfill our mission together. There are many areas of ministry for people to be involved in and here are just a few.
